Looking back on the past month one thing has become blindingly apparent…I really do love no fuss beauty products. It should come to no surprise, after all, how often is it that you see me sporting anything more complicated than winged liner here on LSS? Though I do love to experiment now and then, my favourites will always be those that fit best into my daily, uncomplicated routine.
The Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base and Instant Concealer are a duo that I have turned to so often this past month I’ve lost count. On days where I’m running errands or can’t be bothered with a full face of makeup, this is my go-to. I love that this simple combination brightens and perfects my skin in a way that feels very natural and me. For reference I use shade 01 (fair) in the concealer and 02 (champagne) in the base.
For cheeks I’ve been loving rosy, non-shimmery shades like the Stila Convertible Colour in Peony. This is the first I’ve purchased of the singular colours and I’m really just a huge fan of the product all around. Thanks to Scarlet & Julia for letting me pick some beauty bits off of their new site to try!
If you’re a fan of bold, matte lips this Fall, one product I cannot rave about enough is the Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick. All of the shades are fantastic, but I’m particularly fond of the orange-red hue that is Tilt. They are the most hydrating matte lip product I’ve ever encountered, which is very exciting for a girl like me who finds matte lipsticks to typically be too drying to wear.
After long fluttery lashes (who isn’t)? I’ve been head over heels for the Tarte Opening Act Lash Primer. Paired with my favourite Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara, my lashes have never looked so good! See it in action in yesterdays The Very Versatile Statement Necklace post. That last shot says it all.
Speaking of Make Up For Ever, the new Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation is definitely one to try if you are after a higher coverage foundation. You already know how much I love the liquid version (which has quickly become a staple in my routine), and the stick version is just as amazing. Because the coverage is so high I don’t feel the need to use it as often, but it’s definitely one I think every girl should have in her beauty arsenal. I will note that the liquid version feels nearly undetectable, but that’s not so much the case for the stick. Regardless, if you need that extra coverage, this will do flawlessly. You can also purchase a darker shade if you’re after a great contouring product!
Well, that about wraps up this month! What have been your favourite beauty products lately? Let me know!
