WINTER NUDES

Winter may be coming, but that doesn’t mean you need to give up your Summer nudes! Sure, say goodbye to that golden tan you worked so hard on the past few months, but just because the season’s changing doesn’t mean you have to switch out everything. As a huge fan of light shades and bases, the last thing I want to do is adopt a full coverage face for the rest of the year.

I think as long as you adopt a new sense of nude you can wear it all year long. Forget the concealer lips of your yesteryears and collect shades of peach and rose instead. It’s really all about choosing colours that naturally enhance what God gave you. Simple as that!

I’ve recently procured a number of beauty products that will effortlessly take you from Summer to Fall without compromising your…sanity? I don’t even know what I’m trying to say (it’s been a long day), so let’s just skip to the products!

A light base like the champagne coloured Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base is great for correcting redness and can either be worn on its own or under foundation. For concealer, the Clarins Instant Concealer, which I have recently become obsessed with (we are talking holy grail status here people) will cover dark circles and really anything else you need talking care of. I love that it’s light but very pigmented, making it virtually undetectable. It’s just good, real good.

To finish off my base I use the Multi-Blush in peach to give a healthy flush to my complexion. This one can be used on the cheeks or lips, gotta love that versatility in a beauty product!

Another new product I have completely fallen for is the Pür Minerals Eye Polish, which is seriously the easiest product ever to apply (and boy does it pack a punch). Dab a little around your lids with your fingers and lightly blend with a brush. Done. This is the perfect option for those of you that love one wash wonders, not to mention colour that lasts all day without creasing or fading. I’ve been using the satin and cashmere shades on a daily basis since they came in the mail, but all of the shades offered are absolutely stunning.

For my lips, the Clarins Lip Liner Pencil in nude fair is perfect for defining shape. Top it off with the Joli Rouge Lipstick in rosy nude and you’ve got yourself a gorgeous (yet realistic) nude.

Of course, what look would be complete without a fresh coat of polish? RMS has recently launched ten polishes to match your favourite beauty products. I am loving the shade honest, which is a sort of peachy-rose hue. In all honesty, it reminds me of an eighties business woman…and I am loving every bit of it.

How do you embrace nudes in the Winter?
