I feel like I’ve been doing a really bad job at keeping you all updated on what’s going on in my life and you’re probably wondering (with the lack of posts) where the heck I’ve been! Well I’m here, I haven’t gone anywhere but, in a sense, a lot has been going on…so, let’s chat!
First of all, I’ve just gone through nine consecutive days of being sick. I don’t even know what it was and neither does the doctor, but it felt along the lines of a really brutal stomach flu. It was terrible, Steven was gone on business for an entire week and I was left to fend for myself. The consensus was that I was probably having a reaction to the medication I’ve been taking for migraines. Basically I could barely eat and slept a lot this past week. This morning was the first where I woke up feeling perfectly normal and I could not be more happy about it! The bonus is that I no longer need morning caffeine (as I didn’t have any when I was sick) and my figure is looking exceptionally trim haha, but I’m really looking forward to getting back into my morning yoga routine and eating every taco I can get my hands on!
There are a few things I’m really excited about coming up, but one is that I filmed a makeup tutorial with London Drugs a couple of weeks ago for their YouTube channel which should be going live within the next few weeks! I’m very proud of myself for following through with this because, as you know, I am terrified of speaking on camera. Thankfully I didn’t get too nervous (I’m sure having familiar faces around helped), and it all went quite smoothly. You can see my friend, Ania, in her video which is live now. I adore this girl and really hope you go give her a follow if you don’t already! She is such an inspiration to me as a creative and just a really amazing friend.
So I haven’t done any international travel since Steven and I went to Spain a couple of years ago (#helpmeimpoor), but I will be very soon! He’s being sent to Berlin on business with an indie gaming company and I get to come along to take photos and video. We’ll be there for about a week during the beginning of April, which isn’t a lot of time, but we’ll get days to see the sites so I am very excited about our little adventure! I’ve never been to Germany so I’m happy to get a little bit of european travel in this year.
Other than that I’ve got some exciting campaigns coming up which I can’t wait to share with you as well as kicking off my Spring Fashion Series and…getting to take photos outside haha. Though that live in cold or dreary climates will know the struggle is all to real. I’m so tired of whitewall backgrounds, it’s time to shake things up!
If there’s something in particular that you’d like to see more of on LSS please let me know! I’m always open to suggestions and love hearing what you think about things.
Hope you’re all doing well!
