This past year has been kind of a roller coaster for me in basically…well all aspects of my life. So what do we do when we can’t control all that’s happening around us? For me I find it best to focus inwards, making sure I’m taking care of myself, on health, and doing all I can to be a better me! Easier said than done, am I right?
I love spending time outdoors and something not many people may know about me is that I literally walk everywhere…that’s right, I don’t drive. And while that might seem a little odd to some people, it’s something I really enjoy doing. Sure, it might take me longer to get places, but it keeps me moving and some good, fresh, crisp air will always do a body good. More than that though, it allows me time to truly feel my surroundings, to take every bit in and clear my head of everything that can build up throughout the day.
When you’re as busy as I am (I’m currently working three jobs), it’s really tough to eat properly…and though I may try my best, I do have some reliable sidekicks that help me keep on track. One, I drink a lot of green juices and smoothies which are a great on-the-go option and give me a solid pick me up in preparation for long days. Secondly, I take probiotics everyday to help keep me healthy and aid in digestion. Now there’s something I don’t talk about too often on LSS! But in all seriousness, I was always the kid with stomach ache, so I know the importance of probiotics.
I started taking the Genuine Health advanced gut health probiotic 15 billion CFU daily care almost two months ago and am very pleased with the results. I also love that I can just pop one or two everyday and that’s that, easy! They are 100% vegan, soy-free, gluten-free, and non-GMO as well so I don’t have to worry about anything weird. If you’ve never heard of Genuine Health products or are interested in where they are available you can check out the retail locations here. Probiotics can be recommended to basically anyone and can help aid health as well as manage certain conditions, including allergies so if you don’t take any already, I definitely suggest doing some research and trying them out for yourself!
I’m so excited for the weather to keep warming up and for more and more opportunities to get outside and on better track with my health – let’s be honest, it’s so much easier when it’s not thirty below! Aside from my usual routine I look forward to signing up for dance classes again and starting up my morning yoga sessions again (I actually started a few days ago, but we all know how hard it is to get back into a routine)!
What do you do to stay healthy? Do you take any probiotics?
