Faun Studio in Tulum

Last week Emily and I came home from a whirlwind five days in Tulum. For those of you asking, who’s Emily? She is a very talented new photographer I’m working with and you should definitely check her out when you get the chance! While we were away we had the opportunity to work with some amazing brands, including one of my local favourites, Faun Studio

I first met Marisa, the designer behind Faun, last year after following her online for quite some time. I was always inspired by her bold prints and playful designs and I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on them for myself!

Bringing Faun to Tulum and being able to shoot some of Marisa’s pieces was somewhat of a dream. I can’t think of a more perfect location for this seasons island inspired pieces. Anyone who knows me knows I’m slightly obsessed with Hawaiian print and often live in it during the warmer months.

This particular dress was one of my favourites, particularly the panelled design which I found so fun and different. The style of the dress itself felt amazing. I love the feminine look, but the midriff cutout was something a little unexpected (and felt really good on those hot days in Tulum too)!

Watching a small brand like Faun grow and become recognized worldwide has not only inspired me style-wise but career-wise as well. It just goes to show that it doesn’t matter where you live, if you have a dream and the right kind of drive you can make amazing things happen for yourself.

If you’re reading this post, please do me a favour…take a few minutes to check out Faun Studio online and let me know what your favourite pieces are!
