I’ve found some real gems this past month in terms of beauty products. While I’m typically known for featuring well loved products in these monthly favourites posts, this time I’m going to be talking all about the latest and the greatest. These are items that I’ve found myself grabbing over and over again and ones that I think I’ll be continuing to reach for even months from now. Hope you enjoy my selections!
Trust Fund Beauty
I first mentioned this indie nail polish brand in its self-titled post Trust Fund Beauty where I talked all about the brands vision, gorgeous packaging and the woman behind it all, Samara Granofsky. This month I’ve been wearing What’s A Budget? on repeat which is a stunning sea foam blue. It’s bright colour makes it the perfect match to your healthy Summer glow and is unique enough to get all of your girlfriends asking “what’s on your nails?”.
It’s been a long time since I’ve advertised or even tried a new concealer, but after using the Emani HD Corrective Concealer for the last month I can definitely tell you that it’s well worth checking out. I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle, creator of the vegan cosmetics brand, at the London Drugs Beauty Gala I attended in Vancouver this past June. What was refreshing to me was her passion behind the brand. As someone who had suffered from cystic acne and sensitive skin all of her life, Michelle creates cosmetics and skincare products with clean ingredients to suit even the most problematic skin types. I love the pigmentation of the corrective concealer and how the product melts onto your skin almost like liquid. It blends beautifully and works for concealing my dark circles as well as any blemishes. What more could a girl ask for?
MAC Huggable Lip Colour
When I received the shade I’m In it was love at first application, but even so I’m still surprised at how much of a regular it’s become in my daily beauty rotation. After all, we all have our favourites and sometimes it’s just hard to give them up for something new. The MAC Huggable Lip Colour goes on so smooth and sheer that it just makes logical sense that I reach for it so often. Why? Because it’s so easy. The warm rose shade is so beautifully flattering that it makes for the perfect lipstick to top off any look and because the formula is so hydrating, I’m able to skip the balm. What can I say? I’m in…sorry, I had to. See me wearing it in my FOTD With New MAC post.
Living Proof Leave In Conditioner
It seems that this brand is one that has only become increasingly popular over this past year, and for obvious reasons. With the vast product range there is certainly something for everyone and the smell…oh the smell. It just gets me every time. I’ve been using the line for curly hair for a long time now on and off and love it as an extra moisture boost for my always parched locks, but have been especially drawn to the No Frizz Leave In Conditioner lately. It’s great as a pre-styling tool to keep frizz at bay, but I also love it to touch up already dry hair. A little through the ends is all you need, and voilà no more flyways!
Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion
How could I do a monthly favourites post and not mention Make Up For Ever? Their recently launched Pro Bronze Fusion is without a doubt the best bronzer I have ever owned. Paired with the 136 Kabuki Brush it creates the most flawless, natural looking glow. As a fair skinned girl you know that’s saying something! The first time I tried it I walked into the room and my husband said “you look amazing with a tan”. He has no idea that it was just makeup…I mean really, who tans their face?
Have you tried any of these products? What have you been loving this month?
