Well here we are, it’s September, ugh. Rather than dwell on the fact that Summer is behind us, I’m going to focus on bringing you the best Fall Beauty Series you’ve ever seen! First up is one of the hottest trends for Fall 2015, the unconventional black liner. I love that this look leaves much to be interpreted, allowing your imagination to run free.
Obviously my mind hasn’t strayed too far from classic winged liner, but rather offers up a different way to approach the look. With the help of Clinique’s new Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen I’ve created a very feathery looking wing, drawing inspiration from the feel of false lashes. To add an extra flirty touch, I placed a bunch of small strokes on my lower lash line. A swipe of white liner in the waterline opens up the eyes for a very, 60’s, Twiggy-esque finish.
If you’re in the market for a new eyeliner pen, I highly suggest picking up this Clinique offering. It is unlike any I have ever used in that the super slim brush tip gives the most precise lines with the most pigmented strokes right from the get-go. That means no testing out product on the back of your hand to get colour to come out. It’s just perfect right away. I’m completely obsessed.
On my lips I’ve used the new Estée Lauder Pure Colour Envy Liquid Lip Potion in the shade A35/Fierce Beauty, another formula I am completely taken aback by! It’s literally a soft liquid lipstick…smooth, pigmented, and ultra-hydrating. I’m wearing it quite light in these photos, but love it worn layered up too. I’m pretty sure I need to pick up some more shades of this because seriously, it is amazing stuff. If you’re looking to treat yourself or someone else, you can’t go wrong with this one.
The thing I love most about this particular look is that its not completely outrageous so that it comes off as weird, but more interesting in a very flattering way.
What beauty trends are you most looking forward to this Fall?
xx -b.

I’m in need of an eyeliner that’s easy to apply so that I can finally perfect my cat eye. I think I’ll give Clinique a go!

September 2, 2015 at 9:16 AMThanks Maddy! It’s funny because I didn’t totally know what I was going for until it was done, but I agree…it’s like a softer version of the classic, less harsh 😉 xx

September 1, 2015 at 2:04 PMHaha I totally agree! It’s been very warm here but the air is filled with smoke due to the fires in BC and Washington…doesn’t make being outside very fun!
