As we enter the holiday season most of us will be attending parties and events so frequently that mulled wine will eventually be pouring out of our ears…an odd mental picture to say the least. One trend I am absolutely loving is lace. Lace dresses, tops, sets, you name it, I want it.
I am loving this new combo from Gentle Fawn (similar style here) that I picked out with exactly the holidays in mind. As a set they make the perfect ensemble for any cocktail or holiday party, but pair the skirt with a cozy oversized knit and ankle boots or the top with a pair of loose trousers and heels and suddenly you have multiple options on your hands!
The thing about lace is that it says so much on its own. With intricate patterns like this there’s no need to overthink accessories, a simple statement ring or rhinestone earrings will do just fine. I love to pair the look with nude heels, which are great for elongating the legs (a must for us shorter girls)!
To top everything off, I don’t think anything is more chic than a low chignon. I’ve kept things quite casual in the hair department by pulling out shorter layers around my face for a look that’s not too serious but still translates as pulled together. For makeup I finished with a thick winged liner and NARS Brigitte on the lips!
For more lace pieces I’m swooning over, see here, here, here, and here.
Have a certain trend you want to hear more about? Let me know!
