A LOOK AT CLARINS SPRING ’16

I can’t believe that I have been holding onto these products for two months and am just now sharing them with you! So not my style haha. In my defence, technically I wasn’t allowed to share them until February! Well, anyway, let’s take a look shall we?

The limited edition 5 Colour Eye Shadow Palette in Natural Glow is the perfect palette for girls on the go in it’s little rose bronze coloured packaged. Featuring, you guessed it, five shades, this palette is great for creating a subtle smokey eye. Shadows included range from iridescent beige, brown, and bronze, to matte beige and satin bronze.

While we’re on the subject of eyeshadows, Clarins has also added new shades to their Ombre Iridescente single pot eyeshadows. This cream to powder formula adds a beautiful pearly sheen to your daytime look, but also works wonderfully as a pop of shimmer during the night. My suggestion is to layer one of the silvery shades on top of dark shadow in the center of the lid for a beautiful halo effect. Mist your brush with a setting spray before dipping into the pot and applying colour for an even more intense, long lasting look.

My favourite items from Clarins are their lip products…seriously, all of them. Always hydrating, easy to pop on, and in a multitude of shades…what’s not to love? One of my absolute favourites are the Joli Rouge Brilliant lipsticks which provide a sheer wash of colour with a shiny finish. Think of them as more of a balm/lipstick hybrid…with an amazing fruity scent. This is such a standout formula in my makeup collection and I can honestly say I own nothing else like it. I love the way it looks healthy and juicy on my lips while also adding that finishing touch of colour. Amazing.

I also recently got to try the Rouge Eclat Lipstick (wearing above), which is a great offering for those looking for more pigment. These ones are very creamy and nourishing, but what surprised me was the amount of colour payoff in one swipe. I generally prefer the classic lipstick shape as it is much easier for me to apply, but other than that the packaging and product is all fantastic. And of course, the new shades are perfect for Spring!

For those Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector lovers (aka me), you will be happy to know that there are also two new shades that have been added to the permanent collection! Sadly I haven’t gotten to try these new hues yet, but they look absolutely beautiful. Also up for Spring are more shades added to the Multi-Blush collection, so definitely check those out if you’re in the market for a new cream blush.

Lastly, if you’re looking for a hydrating lip base, the Instant Light Lip Perfecting Base is a great one for acting as a primer for your lipstick to keep it from bleeding at the edges. Or, use it as a lip balm! Regardless, it is a great lip treatment and one that I’ve nearly used up (enough said?).

Are you looking forward to trying anything from the new Spring collection or have you already?
