I have a secret…I’m really bad when it comes to working out. As a girl who trained as a dancer for most of her life, these last five years have been somewhat of a downhill slide when it comes to keeping the ol’ bod in shape. That being said, things are looking up.
When I was contacted to join my fellow bloggers to test-drive the new gapfit collection, I was excited and slightly horrified. Though I’ve been pretty good (lately) when it comes to at-home workouts, I hadn’t taken an actual class is ages. And then, to have a photographer watching your every move, well, it makes a girl a little self-conscious haha. Schedule the class for 7:30 am and, well, things just aren’t pretty.
Thankfully our instructor, Cam Lee, led a wonderful yoga class that was easy enough to follow along…sure, I may have skipped out on a few planks, but as a whole it was a class I was so in to that I completely forgot about being…watched. It also reminded me how much I love having a teacher. I don’t know, maybe I’m the only one that likes to be poked and prodded until I get things right, but it’s nice to have someone helping you push yourself further that you ever could on your own. That being said, I think every muscle in my body was sore for days afterwards (in a good way).
As for our gear, I was happy to find that the new gapfit line didn’t just look good, but was comfortable and functional as well! I was outfitted in the Trainer Leggings, Medium Impact Strappy Sports Bra, and Breathe Tie-Back Tank. I am absolutely smitten with all of the pieces, and can I just say how nice it is to find great quality workout clothes that are both trendy and affordable too? If there’s anything that could push me to be more diligent about getting in shape, it’s a cute new outfit!
