I’m sure that if you’re a blogger or photographer (or anything of the sort) you have a bucket list of places you want to photograph…well, the Parker Palm Springs was definitely high up on ours!
The iconic “DRUGS” sign has been photographed by some of my favourite bloggers around the world, so I can’t even explain how excited I was to finally be able to capture it. I’ve heard that it’s actually an old pharmacy sign, can anyone shed some light on this?
We were so obsessed with every small detail of this hotel…how each space was so unique in its own right, attention paid to every corner, nook and cranny! Umm, can I please get the number of their interior decorator? While I definitely appreciate a good minimalist design, it’s places like this that really get me inspired. I would love to mimic some of these ideas in my own home…a colourful lantern wall or maybe shelves filled with vintage glassware? Yes please!
Is it odd that in the midst of such organized chaos we would feel so relaxed? Maybe it’s because everything feels much less serious, and more fun…maybe it’s the fact that we weren’t afraid to get comfortable, to touch things and explore, without feeling like there was someone watching our every move? Whatever it was, I can honestly say that The Parker was one of the most pleasant (and beautiful) stays we had. I would go back in a heartbeat.
We took so many photos at the Parker that I’ve had to break them up into about four different posts, what can I say? We’re truly obsessed.
What places are on your photography bucket list? Have you ever visited this hotel?
